After a quick shower and change back at the apartment, The Boyfriend and I met up with some friends at the Staten Island Ferry. I'd never been on the ferry before, and it is a perfectly enjoyable experience - you have great views of Liberty Island, Ellis Island, Governor's Island, and of course, Manhattan Island, all in a quick 25 minute ride. And, they sell alcohol on the boat! Hello, is that not the most perfect mode of transportation ever? Once we got there, we headed over to Richmond County Bank Ballpark to watch the Staten Island Yankees baseball game. The stadium was awesome, extremely ritzy for a Single-A minor league team. You could see the Manhattan skyline in the outfield. After the game there were free fireworks.
