I tried to get tickets to any of the Yankees/Red Sox games this weekend, but alas, I am not made of money. Instead of going to the stadium, I went to a bar with two of my guy friends...one a die-hard Yankees fan, the other a crazy Red Sox fan. It was a lot of fun to watch with them, and the game was very close. The bar we went to was great - huge 50-inch TV screens along the bar and lots of beer and food. The Sox won! Down with the evil empire!

More music! I took my friend Jordy to see Diana Krall for her birthday at the famous Radio City Music Hall. Scratch that one off the list!

Another show. Jamie Cullum is such a great live performer. It was his birthday and the audience sang to him - he got choked up! After the concert we went to a bar to celebrate. Is it wrong that I had two cupcakes? They were from Billy's!

It's my friend Molls' last week here in the NYC before she leaves us for the island life on St. Thomas. Our night started with some co-workers at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Time Warner Center. We were definitely the most casually dressed people there. It's a pretty spot, but pricey - my friend L and I joked that we couldn't afford a single drink (thank goodness it was on the company dime). After we left the lounge, some of us headed to Iguana where we had yummy appetizers and fun drinks. I'm going to miss Molls!

Every now and then there are some cool perks that come with my job. Tonight I got to go to a filming of VH1's Inside Track at the Roseland Ballroom. It was open bar, people. OPEN BAR. The Roseland is very cool. I saw some great acts - Keanne, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, and Maroon 5. And the open bar!

My friend Handle and I decided to have a fun day, so we went bowling! Neither of us had been in a long time, and it showed - we got better as the beer kept flowing, though, I swear! After we'd done enough damage to the pins, we headed to our friend's going away party. We'll miss you!

My friend Jere's boyfriend works for Out Magazine, so he invited Motown and I to go with him to the monthly party they have. It was fun, free drinks and great music. After we left, Motown and I desperately needed food so we walked around the area until we came across Trailer Park. It's very campy and a bit overpriced, but the food was great - it really hit the spot. Then it was off to CB's Lounge to see my friends' band perform. A full night.
